Sunday Worship

  • Sanctuary

We offer traditional worship in our Sanctuary every Sunday at 10:45 AM. This service shares the best of the historic United Methodist tradition in a warm, inviting way. We sing, pray, reflect, and laugh together. All are welcome. Dress how you feel comfortable. Music includes the great hymns of the church, led by our choir and accompanied by our majestic pipe organ or piano. For information on Kids Ministry please check out the FAQs below.

  • Riverside

Throughout the months of May, June, and July, we offer an 8:30 am outdoor worship service at our beautiful Riverside Pavilion. Join us in this relaxed worship service in the beauty of God's creation! For information on Kids Ministry please check out the FAQs below.

 FAQs

  • Yes, you are welcome. First Church Knox is a community open to all people. We live out that openness by welcoming everyone. We do not have to think alike, dress alike, vote alike, or hold anything in common except a love of God and a desire to live in community. If you want to know more before you come please fill out a Connect Card.

  • Absolutely! Every Sunday, we offer First Church Kids ministry. Drop-off begins at 9:30 for those attending Sunday School. The main kids’ lessons for elementary and preschool begin at 10:45 AM.

Our First Church Knox nursery is also open for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years.

During Riverside Worship, kids ages 3 and up can be dropped off for supervised play on our playground. We also have activities like sidewalk chalk available in the pavilion for kids to enjoy. To learn more visit our Kids Ministry Page.

  • Yes, we offer Communion on the first Sunday of each month. In the Methodist Church, everyone is invited to the table to take in the Body and Blood of Christ. As part of welcoming all people, we use grape juice rather than wine.

  • Thankfully, our campus has ample parking. You are welcome to park anywhere onsite, including the lower lot by the river. All we ask is to consider your mobility level as you select your parking spot and let us know if you will need assistance making it from your vehicle to the service.
